The event highlighted the Greek Government's commitment to AI, with the live presence of H.E. Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic, alongside key ministers and deputy ministers from Digital Governance, Tourism, Labour and Social Security, Social Cohesion and Family, and Interior.
At the recent GenAISummit held at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) in Athens, Maggioli Group had the privilege of contributing to pivotal discussions on ethical and legal considerations in developing trustworthy AI.
As a Silver Sponsor, one of our project managers Hara Stefanou showcased two of our Horizon Europe projects: AI4Gov and THEMIS 5.0, which aim to transform public governance and strengthen citizens' trust in AI. Central to the discussions was the growing emphasis on privacy by design – a proactive approach to embedding data protection and ethical principles at the core of AI solutions.
Our work on AI4Gov, with its GDPR-compliant Data Governance Framework and Holistic Regulatory Framework, demonstrates how we integrate these safeguards into every stage of AI development.
The event also highlighted Greece's forward-thinking commitment to AI, with inspiring speeches from Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis along with key ministers and deputy ministers from Digital Governance, Tourism, Labour and Social Security, Social Cohesion and Family, and Interior.
These discussions underscored the transformative potential of AI in public services, grounded in principles of trust, transparency, and ethics. Through initiatives like THEMIS 5.0, we are not only advancing the technical frontiers of AI but also creating frameworks for trustworthy-by-design AI that align AI innovations with societal values and human rights.
At Maggioli Group, we remain dedicated to developing AI solutions that prioritize both technological excellence and human-centered design, ensuring a future where AI serves the public good responsibly.
