Transforming Public Services: Maggioli Group supports EUDI Wallet Adoption Across Italy with Lissi

An international partnership to improve the EUDI-Wallet Connections

Maggioli Group has started a partnership with Lissi (lissi.id) to mark a new step in the digital transformation path.

Lissi specializes in the development of the EUDI-Wallet Connector, an application that enables organizations to interact seamlessly with the German EUDI-Wallet and all future certified wallets in Europe. The focus is on supporting regulated sectors such as banking, insurance and telecommunications as well as the public administration. The connector enables the issuance and verification of digital credentials, making it easier for organizations to comply with regulatory requirements and use digital wallets efficiently.

This partnership - combined with our experience and knowledge of the sector - will enable us to allow over 3,000 Italian municipalities to seamlessly accept and interact with EUDI Wallets.

As Europe moves toward digital transformation with the implementation of eIDAS2 and the introduction of the EUDI Wallet, Maggioli Group is taking a pivotal role in enabling municipalities to adapt to this new standard. By expanding their existing Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems—already managing national identity systems such as the Italian Citizen Card and SPID—Maggioli Group will integrate support for the new eIDAS standards. This partnership paves the way for municipalities to embrace secure, compliant, and user-friendly digital identity solutions.

Through this collaboration, we aim to focus first on supporting the Italian Wallet (IT-Wallet), enabling in-person and remote interactions with EUDI Wallets for key services. Once the IT-Wallet foundation is established, the solution will scale to accommodate all European wallets, ensuring full interoperability across borders.

Maggioli’s vision of serving as an eIDAS2 aggregator aligns with Lissi’s expertise in providing seamless wallet integration software. Together, we will enable use cases such as citizen identification and the management of credentials already offered through national wallets, empowering municipalities to provide secure and efficient digital services for their communities.

By creating a solid partnership with Lissi, the Maggioli Group aims to build a future in which European citizens and organizations can interact in a secure and trusted way, thus contributing to the digitalisation and innovation of public services in Europe.
